"Promoting salmon enhancement between the Oyster River and south of the Salmon River Estuary and the adjacent Mainland Coast"

Poem

I hesitate to be unkind But the Salmon has a one track mind. Once every season, full of fire He swims upstream, higher and higher From dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn From morn to night and night to morn Up rocks and rills, up streams and hills Up high cascades, round grassy glades. Up canyon steep , up water deep Up stone and rocks, around dams and locks. From day to night , from dark to light at last on one bright dawn they get there just in time to spawn Having done his salmon duty Now having wooed his salmon cutie And weary from his trip up town In quiet waters he will drown Pondering with his dying bubble …….. Just why is sex so damn much trouble May 19 1997 The Johnsons on their trip to Canada
